The idea came to me during a memorable trip to Western Norway, to the Bulandet archipelago. On these islands, the wind and bad weather hit the short grass hard. Yet they are no match for the islands' main inhabitants: the \"old Norwegian sheep\", known as Sp\u00e6lsau, who have been grazing there steadfastly and insolently for thousands of years, their heavy, curved horns pointing towards the ocean.<\/p>\n
Just as my ambition to set up my own practice was beginning to take shape, these small, intractable creatures caught my attention. Our host, also a shepherd and ornithologist, described them as combative, tenacious and agile. These adjectives resonated with me. I didn't want to break with this dreamlike atmosphere, but I couldn't help myself: in my opinion, these were the three most important qualities that a lawyer specialising in business litigation should have.<\/p>\n

I kept this image and these memories in my mind until the day I set up my practice. How could I convey my commitment to these values and this line of conduct in the image of my firm? A logo bearing their effigy? And why not? Some people might think of an Aries, others might even see it as a reference to horoscopes. So be it. I'm waiting for a customer who specialises in sheep to help me make out their shadow puppets.
